Strong UV rays from the sun create a breeding ground for algae in swimming pools. The best way to protect your pool from damaging algae blooms is by blocking the sun with a solid winter cover.
Each round winter cover includes a winch and cable to create a tight seal around your above ground pool. These covers also include metallic grommets around the perimeter of the material to attach optional water bags (sold separately). We also recommend applying an air pillow (sold separately) under the center of your winter cover to help push water and snow melt to the edges of your pool. Swimming pool air pillows also help absorb the pressure and weight from precipitation.
This winter cover is for a 18 ft round above ground pool, but the actual cover size is 22 ft. The 2 ft overlap on each side provides extra material to securely tighten the winter cover around your pool.
